Establishing Services

You can establish service in person at our office located at 3844 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram, GA 30141 or an application can be downloaded to a laptop or desktop computer, completed and e-mailed to pcwapp@Paulding.gov along with a copy of your valid photo ID and your signed rental/lease agreement, if you don't own the property. Proof of ownership may be required. Once the application is received and the information is verified, you will receive an email confirmation which will include your account number, customer id number, amount to pay and a link to make your payment with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover. When we receive the confirmation of payment, we will process the application and mail you a copy. These steps must be followed to insure prompt service connection.

All applications received and paid for before 4:00 pm will be processed for turn-on the next business day or the future business day requested. Any application/payment confirmation received after 4:00 pm will be turned-on in 2 business days or the future business day requested. If you are requesting same day service, please call Customer Service at 770-222-6868.

FEES

A $25 application fee is charged for setting up service. A meter deposit of $50 is required for water service. If sewer service is available, an additional deposit of $50 if required. If you are renting the property, we must also have a copy of your signed rental agreement. Please allow two working days to have the pre-existing services connected. Customers wishing to have service connected the same day can pay a same-day service fee of $75.

ESTABLISHING PERMANENT COMMERCIAL SERVICE

Applications for commercial properties may be completed in our office at 3844 Atlanta Hwy, Hiram GA 30141 or emailed to pcwapp@paulding.gov . If applying in office, please ask a Customer Service Representative for a commercial application or you may click on the link, download the application to a laptop or desktop computer, complete and email back to us. All commercial applications must be submitted in the business name with a valid Tax Identification Number. Upon receipt of the application, our Engineering Department will review the application. Once approved, you will receive an emailed reply with directions to pay the deposit(s) and any other applicable fees, if applying by email. Please note that, depending on the amount of the fees, payment may be required in the form of a check, and Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit/debit cards may not be accepted. ESTABLISHING TEMPORARY SERVICE

We offer a two week temporary service (PDF). You can either apply for services in person or download a temporary application to a laptop or desktop computer, complete it and e-mail to pcwapp@paulding.gov (along with a copy of a valid photo ID). Once the application is received and the information is verified, you will receive an email confirmation which will include your account number, customer id number, amount to pay and a link to make your payment with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover. When we receive the confirmation of payment, we will process the application and mail you a copy. These steps must be followed to insure prompt service connection.

Only one extension is permitted. Temporary service is for clean up and/or inspection purposes only.

FEES

If the location is on water only, the fee is $20 and if the location is on water and sewer, the fee is $40.

ESTABLISHING CONTINUOUS SERVICE

Landlords wishing to establish a Continuous Service Agreement (PDF) can come into our office or the agreement can be downloaded to a laptop or a desktop computer, completed and then emailed to our office . Once the application is received and the information is verified, you will receive an email confirmation which will include your account number, customer id number, amount to pay and a link to make your payment with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover. When we receive the confirmation of payment, we will process the application and mail you a copy. These steps must be followed to insure prompt service connection. If multiple metered services are to be set up, an agreement must be completed for each service address/ suite and a deposit paid for each. The deposits will be held for as long as the agreement is in place.

If you are a property management company, we will also need a copy of your agreement with the property owner allowing you to set up continuous service.

NEW WATER TAP

Customers applying for a new water tap and/or sewer tap should allow four to six weeks for the installation to be completed, it may be longer during the summer months. In addition to the deposit, an additional tap fee and line maintenance fee will be due at the time application (PDF) is made.

The only forms of payment accepted for these fees (PDF) are cash, money order, or check. You will be given a blue stake at the time of application; this stake must be placed at the right of way within 24 hours of applying for service, so we can start the process for the new tap.
